On Saturday November 18, 2023, The Wading River Fire Department laid to rest 48 Year member, Firefighter, EMT, Ex-Chief and Ex-Commissioner Randolph (Randy) Hintze. As he was transported to his final resting place on our 1946 antique fire truck, members assembled at the fire house where a bell was struck, and the siren sounded to signify his last alarm. Department members saluted as a final tribute to his service to the department and community. Rest in peace Chief, we will take it from here.
